Layman’s Definition:
At the end of each stage, there’s a decision point where the Project Board decides if the project should continue, stop, or change direction.
Examples:

• Construction: Signing off foundation works before starting the structure.
• Education: Assessing whether a new curriculum pilot is ready to roll out.
When to Use:
At the end of each stage — before moving on to the next phase of work.
What It Might Look Like in Practice:

• Reviewing the current stage’s performance, the updated Business Case, and Stage Plan for the next phase.
